Abstract submission process

One (submitter) can submit one or many abstracts on our platform with its personal account.

  • Submissions by Agents:
Agents are permitted to submit abstracts, provided the author creates an account (mandatory: with work or personal email) for subsequent communication after the adjudication process. The agent will serve as the primary contact and must ensure constant availability for any requests at all time and (please provide a second contact in the message box for vacation time).
  • The submitter warrants having the full power, authority and capacity to submit the abstract and agree to these terms and conditions.

An acknowledgement of receipt by email of each submission will be sent automatically to the submitter’s mailbox upon completion of the online submission, and to the presenting/corresponding author(s).

  • Submitters may modify their submission(s) until the deadline: late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
  • The official language is English only.

Statement of Responsibility for Authors

Read carefully all the agreements to accept at the end of the submission form (condition of acceptance, publication authorization, statement of responsibility).

  • All authors agree to comply with the abstract submission and presentation rules.
  • The author(s) confirm that the presentation is based on scientific and/or clinical methods that are ethical and valid ; all co-authors must agree with the submitted results and conclusions, and consent to being listed as authors.

Encore presentations
and submitted abstracts to other International meeting/publication

  • Starting in 2026, Encores can be submitted: We encourage to submit one with updated study/data and a detailed information on previous or parallel submissions. Encore cannot be published in the book of abstracts.
  • Encore Declaration: Ticking the Encore checkbox is strictly mandatory for any data previously presented or published elsewhere. Discovery of an undeclared encore abstract will result in immediate disqualification of the abstract and a retraction from any digital/print indices.

Abstract format

Abstract submissions will be reviewed for presentations (in-person on location only, no remote oral presentation will be possible) in one of three formats:

  1. oral presentation in plenary scientific sessions
  2. oral presentation in break sessions
5 minutes + 2 minutes Q&A during the breaks, on one of the screens of the presentation booths
  3. slideshow with no oral presentation
available only on displays and online for attendees

Every effort will be made to accommodate formatting requests based on space and themes. By default, all accepted abstracts are subject to be scheduled at least as an on-display slideshow. However, all presentation formats (including slideshows/displays) require the presenting author to be registered for in-person attendance. This ensures that if the Abstract Review Committee evaluates the work and decides to upgrade it to an oral session, the presenter is available on location to deliver it.

Participants may select one or multiple presentation formats. Please be aware that if an oral presentation in a plenary session cannot be accommodated due to space or thematic alignment, the abstract will be accepted as a presentation in a break session unless otherwise requested.

Abstract topics

All abstracts submitted must address one of the conference topics for inclusion in the program. The list of available topics when submitting an abstract is:

  • Innate and adaptive Immunity
  • Exposome, Microbiome, and Environment
  • Mechanisms of Disease and Animal Models
  • Atopic Dermatitis in Diverse Skin Types (Skin of Color)
  • Pediatric and Adolescent AD
  • Complications, Comorbidities, and Comparative Dermatology

  • Systemic and New Biologic/JAK Therapies
  • Topical Treatment and Phototherapy
  • Integrative Medicine & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
  • Precision Dermatology, AI, and New Technologies
  • Itch, Prurigo, and Neuro-dermatology
  • Multispecialty & Holistic Approach (Nursing, Psychology, Nutrition)
  • Corporate and Pharmaceutical Perspectives
  • Other

Each abstract content must be described accurately with 2 or 3 keywords from the provided list in the form.

All selected abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted and substitutions will not be permitted. They must be proofread very carefully before submitting.

Abstract writing guide

Title
  • Use a concise descriptive title that indicates the content of the abstract.
  • Please minimize the use of abbreviations in the title.
  • Commercial trade names for drugs, devices, products and services may NOT be used in the title.
Authors

Information for each author (no limit about the number of authors) must be provided as requested in the form: department, institution, city, and country. Do not include degrees or titles.

Important: Accurate author information is crucial. Abstracts with incorrectly entered author details will be disqualified.

Contacts

The submitter is the only corresponding contact (notifications are sent to the email of the account).
For an abstract to be accepted and maintained in the final program, the designated presenting author must register for the symposium as an in-person attendee. This in-person registration requirement applies uniformly across all session types, including slideshows/displays. Remote-only registration does not fulfill the criteria for abstract presentation.

Abstract body
  • Limit your abstracts to no more than 1600 characters (count does not include spaces).
  • Do not include tables/charts, graphics or images in your abstract.
  • Drugs, devices, products, and services should be identified by generic name only within the abstract. Refer to generic names rather than brand names.
  • Only common and standard abbreviations may be used without definition.

The body of the abstract should be formatted with the following five sections:

  1. Introduction / Background – mandatory
  2. Objective – optional for clinical case
  3. Method – optional for clinical case
  4. Results – optional for clinical case
  5. Conclusions – mandatory

Late-breaking abstracts

Submissions for Late-Breaking Abstracts is open at the indicated date (check Call for late-breaking abstract period):

  • The related deadline is not an extension of the abstract submission deadline. Very few slots will be available in the break sessions.
  • A late-breaking abstract should contain new information that was not yet known or fully available by the abstract submission deadline of the regular call for abstracts. The data in the abstract must not be published prior to the meeting.

Abstract adjudication

A “blind” selection process will be used: abstracts will be peer-reviewed and ranked by ISAD Scientific Committee members.

Notice of abstract adjudication will be provided (check Call for abstract acceptance notification date) and all correspondences will be addressed to the submitting contact by email only, unless otherwise requested.

Deadline for registration of presenting authors

For any abstract submitted by an agent or co-author, the final, designated presenting author must create an ISAD account and confirm their attendance details by ---------------. Unconfirmed or unlinked presentations will be automatically removed from the final program.

Presenting authors not registered on time (check Registration deadline for presenting author) will forfeit both their invitation to present and have their abstract included in the conference platform. Changing presenters to another author is allowed prior to this date but a non-author can not present on behalf of the authors.

Request for change of presenting author must be made in writing to callforabstract@isad.org

Presentations

Oral presentations

Oral presentations will take place on location, in real time during scheduled sessions (check the Program here). Remote presentations are not possible.

Slideshows with no oral presentation (on screens only):

As every presentation, they will be available online via the virtual conference platform.

Instructions for all

Check this page to prepare and send your presentation before the deadline.

Presenter Limit

To ensure diverse scientific exchange, each registered in-person delegate may be designated as the presenting author for a maximum of two (2) accepted abstracts. If an author or company has more than two abstracts accepted, additional co-authors must register in-person to present them.

No-Show Policy

While an unresolvable travel conflict may result in an oral presentation being demoted to an "on display" slideshow, the in-person registration requirement remains mandatory. If no registered co-author is on-site in Beijing to oversee the display/booth queries, the slideshow will be completely removed from both the physical venue screens and the online platform.

Cancellation of presentation

To prevent empty presentation viewing, please inform us by e-mail (cf. contact presentation below), if you are unable to present.

Industry & Pharma Submissions:
Quick FAQ

If you are submitting abstracts on behalf of a pharmaceutical company, medical affairs department, or via a third-party communications agency, please review these specific compliance rules:

Can a single registered delegate present multiple abstracts?
No. To ensure diverse scientific exchange, an individual registered delegate may be designated as the presenting author for a maximum of two (2) accepted abstracts. If your organization has more than two abstracts accepted, additional co-authors must register for in-person attendance to present them.
If an abstract is accepted as a "slideshow/display only," can the presenter attend virtually?
No. Virtual-only presentation is not available. All presentation formats—including slideshows and digital displays—require the presenting author to be registered for in-person attendance in Beijing. This policy is strictly maintained because the Abstract Review Committee reserves the right to upgrade high-scoring display abstracts to oral sessions during the final programming phase.
What happens if our designated presenter faces a last-minute travel conflict?
If the original presenting author cannot attend, you must transfer the presentation responsibilities to a co-author who is registered for in-person attendance and notify the organizers as soon as possible. If no registered co-author is on-site in Beijing, the abstract will be completely withdrawn from both the physical venue screens and the online platform.
Can we submit "Encore" abstracts (data previously presented elsewhere)?
Yes, encore abstracts are accepted for Rajka 2026, but ticking the mandatory "Encore" checkbox during submission is strictly required. Please note that while encores will be featured on-site, they cannot be published in the official Acta Dermato-Venereologica supplement. Failure to declare an encore abstract constitutes a breach of submission policy and will result in immediate disqualification.
We are a medical communications agency submitting on behalf of an author. Who receives the updates?
The "Submitter" account will receive all initial logistics. However, the final, designated presenting author must create their own ISAD platform account and link their registration to the abstract by Aug. 18th to secure their slot in the final program.
